Yup, it's a go problem... if you dunno how to play, or what it even is, there's a wikipedia article for everything. 8)

Anyways, this is from my book of go problems, and it's from China, so you know it's good.... unless it contains lead.... uh-oh....

But anyways, it's a problem of life and death, it's the first problem the book, and it's pretty easy! 8D

if you wanna play me, lukedraik on IGS and KGS...

also, the sound effects are from my bueatiful single-convex yunzi stones on my I dunno what it is board. 8D

Enjoy, more will come! 8D

Wikipedia has some rules, and this might be helpful. I'm actually working on something to introduce the rules of the game, but unfortunately it's not done yet. I hope that helps!

I just now saw that you made a whole series! I thought that "Go problem 777" was picked as a cool title but it was actually the 777th flash in these series.

Yeah, a lot of people miss that somehow. These will go up to 860, so there's going to be a lot more coming soon, if you're interested.

Uh, try looking up "how to play Go" online and hopefully you'll find an understandable guide. It's very simple, but I have trouble explaining things to people. Sorry! ^^;

Cool! Just remember, revisiting one's you've already done can be good, too, in case you guessed or just forgot what you learned there! 8D

Oh, well, that's not gonna help you much later on. All I can really say is, try to think hard about why that move was the correct move. How were the other stones affected? What kind of impact did it have on certain areas? Did white lose an opening? Did you secure your stones so white only had one option left? Things like that... (Sorry if I'm bad at helping! DX)

That's ok, just keep trying! (If you haven't, you should play some games on an internet server. Another piece of advice; losing is better than winning in this game, because at least when you lose, you realise what to do for the next time, and if what you realised wasn't right, after a while, you'll understand perfectly! 8D)

Well, this game is pretty complicated.. ^^; I guess you are right. (I like the manga, hikari no go.) :D It's basically a go competition on that manga. Really interesting. That's when I started to learn go, and try your problems.

Yeah, I read that quite a while ago. 6th grade I think! Which would be what, 3 years now? But I never played too much, except last year...

It's got simple rules, just complicated situations! And quite frankly, I spent my years as a wee lad playing Tetris, so I can see why I have a thing for simple, yet complex, puzzles/games!

Either way, if you keep playing, and possibly reading books on it (They have plenty of nice ones, not like, thick manuals with walls of text, pretty short ones with good points to keep in mind and interesting tactics!), you'll get better! 8D

LOL, just forget it if is one of thick manuals with walls of text!
There are some chess books like that. That's why I don't read those. LOL/
I go for simple. ^^;
Okay, I'll keep at it. Maybe some day I'll be good. LOL, no way~! XD

Actually, let me look up some ones that I have. I can't exacly say if they're good or bad, except for one that's for beginners, which I'd say is very helpful! 8D

It's called "Go for Beginners", and it's by Kaoru Iwamoto. Actually, part of it is suppost to be written by the president of the American Go Association! (Oh yeah, I dunno if I should see if AGA would be interested in posting these on their site or not, what do you think?)

Oh, the book? Yeah, you do. The back says $12.00, but you could probably find an online learning thing that could help!

I actually got these books after I learned from some internet sites....
